The Health Department has decided to take cooperation from the newly elected village heads to speed up the making of Ayushman cards, which are lagging behind the target in the district. For this, the district administration has encouraged and trained the newly elected village heads. With the support of the village head health department, the families included in the Ayushman Bharat scheme in their respective gram panchayats, who have not yet made a golden card, will contribute in getting their cards made, so that the selected beneficiaries can take full advantage of this scheme. . A target has been set to make golden cards of nine lakh 9175 beneficiaries in the district. Relative to which cards of only one lakh 84 thousand 500 people have been made.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Nem Singh informed that Ayushman Bharat scheme was started with the aim of providing health facilities to the poor and deprived families of the society in the district. The scheme was launched on 23 September 2018. Under this scheme, the facility of free medical treatment up to five lakh per family per year is permissible. In the scheme, the families have been selected on the basis of economic, social and caste category in the 2011 Census. The CMO said that all such eligible beneficiaries have been selected in this scheme in the district, but due to some reason their golden card has not been made.
Free golden card is being made by the health department in government hospitals and affiliated private hospitals. Despite this, the Ayushman card of the eligible families has not yet been made. In such a situation, it has been instructed at the government level that through the village heads, golden cards should be made for the selected families residing in the gram panchayats. Told that after the instructions of the government, a letter has been sent by the Health Department to the village heads to get the golden cards made of the selected families in their respective gram panchayats.
