This new installment is the fifth chapter of the popular Singham franchise after the success of Singham (2011), Singham Returns (2014), Simmba (2018) and Suryavanshi (2021). Ajay Devgn plays Bajirao for the third time in this highly anticipated release.
According to trade analyst Nishit Shah, Singham Again has grossed around Rs 8.86 lakh from 64 shows at Vox Cinemas in UAE, of which around 677 tickets have been sold so far. It has started as the ticket sales are expected to increase significantly after the release due to audience reviews and word of mouth.
Increase advance bookings in Australia
In Australia, advance sales of Singam Again are also increasing. As of 25 October, the film has grossed approximately ₹6.38 lakh (A$11.5K) from 68 screenings at HOYTS Cinemas. This performance shows that Strei 2, which had a good start, can be skipped.
To put this in perspective, Stree 2 grossed ₹49.98 lakh (A$90K) in Australia, becoming the eighth highest-grossing film in the region. The competition will be tough and it remains to be seen whether Singam Again will surpass its previous version in terms of box office performance.
