Kohli was dismissed for no runs in the first innings of the Bangalore Test against New Zealand. He managed to make a comeback by scoring a half-century in the second innings, but his restlessness was evident in the ongoing Test in Pune. The fans were especially disappointed because of Mitchell Santner’s bowling dismissal.
After Kohli’s dismissal, Manjrekar expressed his anxiety, “Oh dear! It turns out that Virat has played the worst shot of his career. It’s hard to watch as he always comes onto the field with genuine intent.
Ravi Shastri commented on Kohli’s shot selection: “He had a full toss which he could have easily sent to midwicket. “Instead, he opted for the cross-bat shot when the ball could be played into the gap with a straight bat.”
As Kohli faces this challenging phase, fans and experts alike are hoping that he returns to form.
