WTC 2025 Final: Shock for Team India vs New Zealand: Team India suffered a crushing defeat against New Zealand in the World Test Championship journey. The Blackcaps halted India’s run by winning the three-match Test series that ended in a 113-run defeat to the Rohit Sharma-led side. The defeat was India’s first Test series loss at home in 12 years, a surprise turnaround for the favorites to reach the WTC 2025 final.

India reached the final twice before but came away empty-handed. In 2021, they lost by eight wickets against Kane Williamson’s New Zealand.
