NEW DELHI: The first phase of manufacturing of Ola e-scooter is nearing completion. Giving this information on Saturday, Ola Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bhavish Aggarwal said that the company expects to start production of its e-vehicles soon.
Ola last year announced setting up of its first electric scooter factory in Tamil Nadu with an investment of Rs 2,400 crore.
Aggarwal tweeted, “In just four months this place has transformed from several acres of rocky land into the world’s largest two wheeler factory. The first phase of Ola’s futuristic factory is nearing completion. Our scooters will be coming soon. Team Ola Electric did a great job. ”
Aggarwal said that this factory will create about 10,000 employment opportunities after completion. It will be the world’s largest scooter manufacturing plant. Initially, it will have an annual production capacity of 20 lakh units.
