Home » Sunrisers Hyderabad going to retain these 6 cricketers! Video viral

With less than a week left to finalize its player retention list, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are gearing up for the 2025 IPL season. Last year, he showed some great talent but still couldn’t get back to his glory days. As per BCCI rules for IPL 2025, each franchise can retain only six players from the previous year’s roster. SRH, who were title contenders last season, have an important decision to make on who to retain.

Cricket expert Tom Moody recently shared his insights on potential SRH retainers for the upcoming season and his ideas have quickly gained popularity among fans. According to Moody, SRH players should retain Pat Cummins, Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Heinrich Klaasen, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Abdul Samad.

Both Sharma and Reddy recently got their chance to shine on the international stage, making their limited-overs cricket debuts for India against Bangladesh. Reddy, primarily a batsman who can bowl, has been a key figure for his national team. Meanwhile, Abhishek Sharma, known for his success in domestic cricket, is eager to establish himself in the Indian team.

Pat Cummins needs no introduction; He has cemented his place as a key figure in both Australian and world cricket. After playing for Kolkata Knight Riders, he joined SRH last season where his leadership skills and bowling skills proved invaluable.

Known for his ability to hit sixes under pressure, Samad is making his mark as a finisher. His performances have made him a key asset for SRH, especially in tight matches. As one of the few players from Jammu and Kashmir in the IPL, Samad has earned a devoted following for his fearless style of play and is seen as a promising talent for Indian cricket.

South African wicketkeeper-batsman Henrik Klaasen has also made a significant impact in the IPL. His biggest moment came when he played a brilliant innings of 80 runs off just 34 balls, which helped SRH achieve a record score of 277 runs against Mumbai Indians in March 2024.

As the deadline approaches, all eyes will be on SRH’s final retention list and their plans for the future.
