Ingrediants

  • Rice flour: 1/4 cup
  • Gram flour: 2 cups
  • Green Chillies: 3 to 4, finely chopped
  • Onions: 2 to 3, chopped
  • Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder: 1 tsp
  • Coriander: 2 to 3 tablespoons, chopped
  • Ginger paste: 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves: 9 to 10
  • Salt: As per taste
  • Water: As much as required for the dough
  • Oil: For deep frying

Prepare the ingredients: First, chop the onion and finely chop the green chillies and coriander leaves.

Mix the batter: Mix rice flour and gram flour in a mixing bowl. Add chopped green chillies, coriander leaves, ginger paste, turmeric, red chilli powder, curry leaves and salt. Mix everything well.

Make the dough: Gradually add water to the mixture until you get a thick dough. Once the batter is ready, add the chopped onions so that they are well coated.

Fry the pakodas: Heat oil in a pan on medium flame. After the oil is hot, drop the batter one by one into the oil and fry. Cook them until they turn golden brown, turning them so they cook evenly.

Serve: Once they are crisp and golden, take the pakodas out of the oil and dry them on a paper towel. Serve hot with tomato-coriander chutney or your favorite sauce.
